Galveston fishing report for week of 07/13/2009
Had another great week on the water! The pattern is pretty much the same as the last six weeks with the exception of some larger trout showing up on the shorelines for waders throwing topwaters early. Also, reds are starting to school up in the shallows. Hosted the Hall party on 07/14/2009 (Mike, Junior, and Colton) and boy what a competetive bunch. Aside from a nice stringer of trout, they wanted a shark. There has been some schools roaming the bay and I knew just the spot for a little shark action along with some pretty good trout action as well, so we headed over there and it was'nt long before Colton had the first shark on ( a small blacktip). Not long after that Pop's got the big bite. He set the hook on a big one. More than we wanted, nonethless a real screamer. We tightend down before he spooled us and he cut us off. Alot of fun watching that reel scream and rod bend. To get in on some of this hot action give us call and book your trip today and "Let's Go Catching". August is filling up fast. Until next time...
Tightlines,
Capt. Lynn
