Galveston Bay Charters

I'll begin this report by saying how grateful I am for the wind and the direction it is blowing, and I hope it continues. Anything and everything to keep that oil away from Texas. My heart goes out to all who are fighting this great mess and I pray for the best. As for the fishing in Galveston Bay it has been excellent despite the wind yesterday we ended up with 12 trout 1 over size red and 2 black drum, not one of our better days but my best friends Dad, Gene Thompson and part of his home building sales team had a blast. Nathan what a great catch there at the end! All Nathan talked about all morning was catching "Big Red". Fortunately we were catching trout out of the wind but this is not where I have been catching my red fish, It turns out Nathan and I grew up in the same small town in North Texas, so as usual I could not resist I want to make my customers as happy as possible. We have been catching 10 plus slot reds the past 2 months at the "rocks" so I made sure no one minded rocking and rolling a little, or a lot for the last hour. Well it paid off after losing a line smoking red right at the boat and then having a trout that looked like a submarine spit the hook Nathan finally got his "Big Red" way to go and way to be persistent and not give up!
