Galveston Bay Charters

You know that is what I love about the Jetties, you just never know what your going to catch. I had two trips yesterday, and they were great! My morning trip was with Vance and his girlfriend Nina, this was there Fourth trip with me this year and what an action packed morning. We had close to a limit of solid fat 3-5lb trout and what I call tournament reds, thick big backed 26-28 inch fish. We also had several sheepshead and eater size black drum, not much time for the Captain to fish I was baiting hooks and netting fish from the minute we dropped anchor until we pulled hook. My afternoon trip was with Jaime his father Jack who came in from Georgia and good friend Scott, we returned to the same spot 2 hours later I was suprised it was still available we had several boats waiting to jump in on us that morning, but thankfully they had moved on by the time I returned. It was not long before the reds began pounding our baits.  These guys where all about catch and release and it did not hurt my "hands" feelings one bit. The trout were a little late to the party, but we ended up with one 16 inch Fish and his momma who was close to 8lbs. She came up on top and then ran right between both motors and unfortunatly she never slowed down. Oh well she would have been released anyway and we got to take a good look at her.
